Invasive Species Mapping and Management Plans
With invasive species, it is important to eradicate every plant since they are aggressive and harmful to the surrounding species. Our Biologists come out to the wetland and map the entire site with all the invasive plants. The plant locations are recorded using GPS data collectors, and then transferred into GIS programs to produce spatially referenced, color coded maps. After analysis of the results, we create a management plans that determines the proper techniques for controlling and exterminating the aggressive intruders, without causing harm to the surrounding plants and aquatic animals.
