Aeration System Design & Installation
Proper oxygenation improves the lake habitat in many ways. From the prevention of fisheries stress to improved water clarity, and reduced weed and algae nutrients to the elimination of odors, proper aeration helps to enhance all over system quality and health. The amount of oxygen varies in everything from residence ponds to large reservoirs, yet in every system, all the living organisms are dependent of sufficient oxygen. Using an aeration system provides additional oxygen to the water, especially in the summer months when water temperatures are capable of holding less oxygen.
In order to supplement the amount of oxygen in your aquatic habitat, Allied Biological designs and installs aeration systems to increase oxygenation, both sub-surface and surface level.
Sub-surface aeration systems can effectively circulate large areas of water with minimal energy requirements. Designs can be simple, one diffuser and a small compressor that aerates a small pond, to large, multiple compressor systems used in lakes and reservoirs. De-stratification systems are the most common, but systems can also be designed for hypolimnetic aeration as well. Power can be supplied through solar, wind-powered, or electric resources.
Surface aeration systems can be both functional and aesthically pleasing in the form of floating fountains for shallow lakes and ponds. Allied Biological, Inc. sells, maintains and installs aeration systems from 1/2 to 35 hp and is an Authorized Sales & Service Center for Aquamaster Fountains.
